Fragaria et al. Consulting creates practical, easy-to-use tools to assess the quality of fresh fruits and vegetables at any point along the supply chain.

The visual appearance of FFV has the greatest impact on retailers buying decisions and consumer choices and purchases.

Attributes such as appearance, freshness, and color are considered the main criteria used to evaluate the immediate quality of FFV. As a result, they are used as quality indicators throughout the supply chain, from the farm to the consumer, and ultimately determine product acceptance or rejection.

Color charts and rating scales are often used as an easy way to access FFV subjective quality. We have developed several of these tools and have extensive experience evaluating FFV quality along the supply chain.
